Jennifer Lopez, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Jennifer Lopez

Hello, Carr Students, Families, and Community!

I am excited to serve as your Assistant Principal at Carr! I am so excited to join the Carr community and begin my first year as an Astro! 🚀

Throughout my 22 years in Santa Ana, I’ve had the opportunity to grow through a variety of roles, including Math Teacher, Math Curriculum Specialist, and Assistant Principal. After serving as an AP at Lathrop, I’m thrilled to take on my second AP adventure here at Carr!

While I have spent many years in education, I am always excited to learn something new. I’m especially looking forward to learning from the incredible students, staff, and families here at Carr and contributing to the amazing work already happening on campus.

A little bit about me outside of school: I was born and raised right here in Southern California, growing up in the San Gabriel Valley before making my way to Orange County to attend UC Irvine. I loved it so much that I decided to stay! I later earned my master’s degree and administrative credential from National University.

When I’m not at school, you’ll most likely find me spending time with my husband and our children. We love to travel, try new foods, and, of course, enjoy some of my favorites… sushi and donuts!

I am truly looking forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff and becoming an active part of the Carr community.  I’m excited to work together to make this a fantastic year!

Here’s to an amazing year, Astros! 🚀💙
