About Us
At Carr Intermediate, the future begins with discovery and exploration. Students are encouraged to expand their academic skills, develop independence, and explore new interests through diverse programs, electives, and extracurricular activities. We provide guidance and opportunities that help students build confidence, strengthen character, and prepare for the transition to high school and beyond.

It is with great honor and privilege to serve as your principal at Carr Intermediate School. I am excited to have the opportunity to be able to serve you and be part of a great school. My goal as principal is to make Carr Intermediate a place that is welcoming to all and supports each student’s academic growth and social emotional development. As students, teachers and families return to in person instruction and some with distance learning there will be new adjustments. Please know that our teachers and staff at Carr will continue to provide the best opportunities for all learning and learners to thrive. Our school is here to serve students and the greater Santa Ana community.

High school students can take college courses and earn credit toward their degree while still enrolled in SAUSD.

Free Summer Meals Now Available Across SAUSD
SAUSD’s Summer Meals Program is now underway, providing free breakfast and lunch to youth 18 and under, as well as eligible adults with disabilities.
With more than 60 locations across the District, families can access nutritious meals throughout the summer at convenient neighborhood sites.
Community members are encouraged to visit a nearby location and take advantage of this valuable resource.

Carr Intermediate School: 2026-2027 Program Verification
Carr Intermediate School is hosting its 2026-2027 Program Verification event to help families prepare for the upcoming school year. At this orientation, parents and students will receive important school information, learn strategies to support student success, and get hands-on help completing Data Confirmation on Aeries if needed
